Will Frame Cradles of Curt Hanging Bike Racks Slide Around As Rack Travels

Question:

How do you keep the 5 anchor points where the bikes rest on the rack from sliding back and forth on the rack closer or further from the vehicle? My old Thule rack these were able to be tightened so they didnt slide around. When I am not carrying 5 bikes I would like to have some space between bikes, however the anchor points slide around so the bikes are touching when I arrive at my destination as opposed to being spaced apart. Thanks!

The frame cradles of the Curt Premium 5 Bike Rack # C18065 fit tight enough to the arms of the rack that they would not move around while on the highway. We've sold quite a few of these bike racks and if the friction fit wasn't tight enough to prevent that we would have heard by now that it's an issue.

Going with a 5 bike rack to allow you more space between racks is a great idea and with this rack you'd be able to do that without worrying about the cradles sliding together.
