I attached a video for the Companion Hitch part # BWRVK3500 which shows how it is assembled in the bed of a truck. You would just need to reverse the steps to remove it.

To uninstall the Companion hitch head, your will first remove the Saddle lock pins. Then grab the saddle handles and lift to remove the head from the pivot arms. Removing the head will make taking out the base easier since it won't be as heavy.…
