Replacement Trailer Axle with 62 Hub Face and 48 Spring Perch Measurement

Question:

Thank you for the quick response. I measured the axle from hub face to hub face. It was right at 62". But this axle is very old. The hub was about 10" in diameter. It does not need to be the exact same. I will be adding 33"x10.5"xR15 tires on it and the spring purches need to be 48" outside to outside. The trailer is exactly 48" wide.

Unfortunately, we do not have the outside bearing with an inner diameter of .75". The smallest bearing we carry has an inside diameter of 1". The only option I can offer you is to replace the axle which in some cases is also the best option. If you can give me your axle length (hub face to hub face) and capacity I would be able to offer you a replacement.

Thank you for getting back to me with those dimensions. For a trailer axle measuring close to 62" from each hub face and 48" between the spring perches, I recommend the Dexter Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs part # 20545I-ST-60-15. This axle has a 2,000 lb. rating, 5 on 4-1/2" idler hub, and is compatible with 12-15" wheels. For a wheel and tire combination to match this axle, I recommend using the Taskmaster ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w 15" White Mod Wheel part # TA47VR. The wheel has a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and the tire has a load range C rating. I have included a review video of both the axle and tire/wheel combo for you as well.
