Adding Solar Panels to Trailer Battery Charging System

Question:

I currently use a solenoid/alternator to charge my frame mounted marine house battery that is connected to a 1000 watt inverter. If I add a roof mounted solar panel where would I connect the charge controller wires to this system, and if the alternator and inverter and solar panel were all working at the same time is this a problem? Than You for your help

To add solar panels to the battery charging system on your trailer, I recommend looking into the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1225D. This will allow you to use both solar and battery power to charge and maintain your auxiliary battery. I have attached an image that shows and clarifies how the connections will be made using this setup.

This charge uses maximum power point tracking technology for the most efficient charge from the solar panels. It will actually keep your battery at peak charge without overcharging or undercharging and will also keep you informed of the process.

I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also check out.
