Recommended Connector Conversion For 4-Way To 5-Way For A 2002 Ford F-150 Super Crew
Question:
Hi, I have a 2002 Ford F150 Super crew. It currently has a 4 pin flat connector mounted on the back of it. I got a boat that has a 5 pin flat connector. The 5th pin is for the brake lockout when in revers up an incline. So I have to get out and disengage the brakes every time. Do you have a 5 pin receptacle I can put on my truck that would either fit in my bracket or come with one? If not what would be the best way to fix this problem?

A good connector for your needs is the Hopkins 4-Pole to 5-Pole Trailer Adapter Item # 47515. It changes your 4-pole flat into a 5-pole flat connector on your 2002 Ford F-150 Super Crew. The blue wire gets spliced into the reverse light wire on your truck which is easily done with quick splice wire connector. After that, you should be good to go.
