Tail Light on Trailer Not Working After Installing New Bulb

Question:

I installed a new tail light #1157LL bulb in my boat traler. My question is after I installed the new bulb and hooked up my trailer to power and turned on my trailor lights, the new bulb did NOT work. I made sure it was securely installed. Why work the new tail light bulb not work?? All the other lights on the trailor work.

If all of the other lights on your trailer are working correctly except the new 1157 bulb that you installed, like part # A1157B, then either the wiring to your light housing is bad, or the housing itself is bad.

Check the wiring for the housing to make sure that it is not corroded, bent, damaged, or exposed, and also make sure that the ground is securely connected to a clean, bare metal surface.

If all of that looks good then the housing is probably bad and needs to be replaced.
