Will Curt Hitch Spare Tire Carrier C31006 Fit 19-1/2-Inch Dually Wheel with 8-on-6-1/2 Bolt Pattern

Question:

C31006 spare tire carrier. There are no dimensions for the tire mounting plate, slots, etc. I want to mount a 33-34 inch dia tire on a 19.5 inch dually wheel with a 6.5 inch 8 bolt lug pattern.

My contact at Curt confirmed that their Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier # C31006 should work fine with your 19-1/2-inch dually wheel spare with 8-on-6-1/2 bolt pattern. This unit is made to be universal and while there has been an odd wheel or two that did not fit their experience with this item is that it will work even with large and very heavy dually spares.

I went to our warehouse to measure the plate itself. Overall at the widest points it measures 8-1/2 x 7-1/2-inches. The mounting slots are oversized for flexibility and they measure 1/2 x 2-5/8-inches for the two identical horizontal slots and 1/2 x 3-3/8-inches for the single vertical slot.
