Is Brake Light Relay Needed on a 2017 Toyota Corolla iM and Supplemental Braking System
Question:
Im considering this braking system for a 2017 Corolla iM standard shift. The video shows a detailed installation procedure for this particular vehicle. At time stamp 9:05, the installer mentions In this case, we installed a brake light relay, because this car needed one. It sounded as though this was a tangent installation. Does this kit include this relay, or is this a separate item purchase? If so, I would need the part number. Please advise.

If the brake lights on your 2017 Toyota Corolla iM light up when you step on the brake pedal and the engine is not running and/or with the key in the "tow" position (see vehicle owner's manual) then you will need the brake light relay # RM-88400. I have linked the video that shows installation of the relay kit for you.
