Blue Ox Patriot System Recommendation for Powering Blue Ox Patriot when Outlet Turns Off
Question:
I have a Patriot II supplemental brake but the auxiliary power ports in my 2017 Ford Focus Titanium only have power for 11 to 15 minutes after completing the prep to flat tow as recommended by the owners manual. Consequently, the brake unit loses power and the ref controller indicates brake not found. Any suggestions? Note , I do have a charging line added from the RV to the toad via blue ox towbar cable. Could a separate power port be brought through the fire wall from that?

Expert Reply:
What you need is a separate power port for your Patriot that doesn't shut off after a set amount of time.
For that you'd want the part # RM-9332 which will run to your vehicle battery and give you an outlet for the Patriot.
