Troubleshooting a Trailer That Will not Work With LED Lights
Question:
I have a 1994 Dutchman 360 trailer and need to find 912 bulb replacement. I have tried to find them at two RV dealers and they say they no longer carry them in the old style incandescent. I have bought 4 LED 912 bulbs by they do not work with my system. Whats up with that. Is there anything else that replaces the 912 ?

There may be a way to get your trailer to work with the LED 912 bulbs, as we do not offer the 912 incandescent style of bulb. The incandescent bulbs draw a lot more power than LED lights, and with certain vehicles, that causes the lights not to work on the trailer. The solution to this is using the 7-Way to 5-Way/4-Way Trailer Adapter for Vehicles with Lamp-Out Sensors Towing Trailers with LEDs # C35FR or Trailer Connector Adapter w/ Lamp-Out Sensor Bypass - 7-Way RV to 7-Way RV - Vehicle End # 20142. Due to the small power draw from LEDs, sometimes sensors in your vehicle may detect they are blown out, which wouldn't happen with the higher draw incandescent bulbs.
