Best Offset Option for Fifth Wheel Towing with 2014 Ford F-150 5-1/2 ft Bed

Question:

I was wondwring what would be best? The offset ball hitch for the BandW gooseneck assembly or would the offset gooseneck coupler be better for use on a 5.5ft bed on a ford f150?

An offset that doesn't pivot will always give you better cab clearance. The # BWTEXA4200 does move the trailer 10 inches back but when you are making a tight turn (when you'd need it the most), that offset moves to the side and actually brings the trailer back nearly to where it would be without the offset.

So an offset on the hitch ball side that doesn't move like the # BWGNXA4085 would give you a more "true" offset when needed.

For your 2014 Ford F-250 with a 5-1/2 foot bed you'd want the gooseneck hitch # BWGNRK1104 which is a confirmed fit. I have to warn you though, if your trailer has any type of living quarters or a nose with any width at all this would most likely not give you enough clearance.
