Recommended Wheel for Bulldog Round, A-Frame Jack # BD155032

Question:

I am looking to replace the existing bulldog on my 3 horse trailer. It must have been damaged at some point prior to my purchase, and appears a couple inches have been cut off the end and a heavy round plate welded on. This means I cannot install a wheel, which makes hook up so much easier as I can move the front of the trailer an inch or two from side to side for alignment to the hitch. It also becomes extremely hard to crank about half way through the range. The lift is not sufficient to clear the hitch so requires about 8 inch of blocks under the jack! I have to determine if the lift will suffice on my trailer, but the addition of a wheel will impact that and make hooking up easier Do you recommended a specific wheel for this jack and application? Thank you

The wheel that is designed to work with the Bulldog Round, A-Frame Jack # BD155032 that you referenced can be found on our site as part # BD500245. You will simply need to remove the pin, install the wheel, and then reinsert the pin to use the wheel. It does have a weight rating of 1,500 lbs so you will want to make sure that your Tongue Weight (TW) is compatible before using the wheel.

If you would like to have the option of using a footplate for certain applications, you can use part # JF-99 which is rated for up to 5,000 lbs. This is a bolt-on application.

I have attached some installation videos that you can use as a reference.
