Thule Sidekick Roof Mounted Cargo Carrier Recommendation for a 2011 Toyota Highlander
Question:
We have a 2011 Highlander with factory installed roof rack and moon roof. Which Thule cargo box do you recommend that would fit this vehicles roof rack and still allow us to open the back hatch without obstruction?

According to Thule you could use the Thule Sidekick Roof Mounted Cargo Box, part # TH78GC, on your 2011 Toyota Highlander. This will bolt directly to the factory cross bar if you have one.
If you do not have a factory cross bar you would first need to install a Rhino-Rack Roof Rack for Toyota Highlander. My recommendation is the Rhino-Rack ROC25 Roof Rack for Naked Roofs # RR22ZR then you would be ready to install the # TH78GC on your roof.
You should be able to use your moon roof, but it would be significantly noisier since there will be air turbulence at the nose of the box.
