Recommended Bike Rack Carrier for Jeep Wrangler JK

HI, Wondering about the spare ride bike rack... I was wondering if someone can explain why this would not work on a spare that has a back up camera. I have a 2015 jku lifted with 35inch tires. I have a back up camera. Is it something to do with the mounting plates? Do they interfere with each other? Because where the post comes through, its no where near where the camera is. Thanks!

The Yakima SpareRide 2 Bike Rack # Y02599 is not recommended for use on the Wrangler or other vehicles with backup cameras since the mounted bikes will almost always block the camera's view, making it unusable.

The best option for carrying bikes on your Jeep is a hitch-mounted rack, one that provides enough clearance to avoid contact with the spare tire. The Thule Hitching Post Pro Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack # TH934XTR, for example, fits nicely on Jeeps and avoids placing too much weight on the spare tire mount.

If you do not have a hitch please advise the model year of your JK and I will be glad to offer a recommendation.
