Cable Lock Recommendation for Thule Bike Rack that STL2 Wont Fit
Question:
The lock on my Thule Bike Rack, a STL2, will not fit on my new car. The electrical connection is in the way of the lock housing. I can use the rack with the bolt in place, but its not locked. Thule suggested I try to find the first generation of the lockthe STL1, which attaches on the right side of the hitch. Do you jave any STL1 housings I could use my STL2 lock cylinder, or do you have any other suggestions. I saw your recommendation to use a e98891 to secure the rack. Would that be better than the Thule strap that is placed in the car trunk.

We don't have access to the older hitch lock you mentioned but a cable lock like part # e98891 would be a great alternative that would work well.
You'd thread the cable through the bike frame and then through the safety cable loop of your hitch and you'd be set.
