We don't have a separate article for the issue you described but I can give you all the info we have on it.

The issue is that the electric brake signal wire and the 12V battery charge wire are reversed in the main vehicle harness. This is the reason that the # 118267 harness you purchased has a constant 12V signal on the brake controller output circuit. Since there is constant power to the brake controller output in, there should be no signal on the 12V battery charge pin.

Reversing the wires in the # 118267 harness will correct the issue for you. I have attached a help article for you on this issue that will outline your options for correcting this issue and walk you through reversing the wires.

Once the wires are switched, you will have constant 12V power on your battery charge wire and the brake controller output wire will only send power to your brakes when you press the brake pedal or use the manual override.
