Recommendation for Towing Gooseneck Trailer with 5th Wheel Base Rails Installed in Truck Bed

Question:

I have a husky 16k 5th gliding 5th wheel base mounted in my truck. Do they make a compatible gooseneck base plate that would pin to these existing rails so I could tow Gooseneck trailers without using 5th wheel x gooseneck adapters?

To tow a gooseneck trailer with your existing 5th-wheel base rails, I recommend looking at the Curt 25K Gooseneck Plate # 16055. This is a really nice product that is designed for use with above-the-bed fifth wheel rails, like what you have installed in your truck bed for your Husky 5th Wheel Hitch.

This will mount right into your existing base rails to provide a 2-5/16 inch heat-treated ball to connect to your gooseneck trailer. It has a 25,000 pound towing capacity and also features an offset to allow for more clearance when making sharper turns with your short bed truck.

I have attached the installation instructions and a demonstration video on this product so you can get a better idea as to how it works.
