7-Way Plug Recommendation for Replacing 4-Way of Hitch Light Fixture

Question:

I have a honda ridgeline 2011 with a 7 way blade connector. I bought a hitch mounted trailer light, right and left signal, break connected to a 4 pin flat connector. A white wire is connected to the unit which is for reverse light. Can I just cut the wires from the 4 pin and screw them into a Pollack 7 way adapter then connect the white cable to the center for reverse light? The wires on the 4 pin connector are really thin. Many thanks for your help and info.

What you described is a very good idea.

You could just cut off the 4-way of the light and then wire it to the part # A7WCB and you'd be good to go.
