Installing the Airaid MXP Cold Air Intake System with SynthaMax Dry Filter - Stage 2 - Fully Enclosed # AR511-302 on your 2017 Toyota 4 Runner will not void your manufacturer warranty.
When you install an aftermarket part on your vehicle like this, you are protected by the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act. This act states, in part, that unless the installation and the part caused a problem then the warranty cannot be voided. I am not aware of any way that a cold air intake could cause direct damage unless it was not installed correctly and brought obvious debris into the system at install.
It is recommended that you clean your SynthaMax filter every 30,000 to 50,000 miles with the Airaid cleaning kit # AR790-551.
