Tow Bar and Base Plates to Flat Tow 2013 Honda CR-V
Question:
Im trying to figure out if the Aladdin BX4325 will work to tow my 2013 CR-V. I cant seem to find the list of vehicles this tow bar will work with. Any insight would be great. Also have an opportunity to get a USED Patriot Braking System BRK2012. I don't know much about them, but all Ive read says its a good system and easy to install. Thoughts?

Tow bars themselves are not specific to the vehicle you are towing, which is why you couldn't locate a list of vehicles your Aladdin BX4325 will work with. What needs to work with your 2013 Honda CR-V are the base plates, which is what the tow bar connects to. The base plates that fit your CR-V and work with the Aladdin BX4325 are the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX2258. I've attached a link to a review video and install of this kit for you to take a look at.
You will also need a wiring kit to ensure your the lights on your CR-V are functioning as you tow it. If you infrequently flat tow your CR-V, it would be fine to use Magnetic Tow Lights # TL21RK. If you flat tow the CR-V more than every once in a while I recommend using the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154. It will also be necessary for you to pull fuses during towing. You'll need to check your owner's manual, and if it specifies to only pull the #19 ACC radio fuse, you'll need fuse bypass switch # RM76511; if it states to pull the #19 ACC radio fuse and the #20 ACC key lock fuse, you'll need fuse bypass switch # RM76512.
As for a braking system, the one you mentioned is a quality system, but I strongly recommend avoiding a used braking system, unless you can verify with absolute certainty it's in perfect condition, which would be difficult to do. Keep in mind that to use that system you would also need 12 Volt Outlet Kit # RM-9332. If I were you I'd go with a new system you can have no doubts will work, the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700. Once this system is installed you won't have to mess with it again - nothing to disconnect or reactivate when you want to use it again. I've added links to a review and install of this system for you to take a look at.
It is also likely that you'll need a high-low adapter to flat tow your Honda; I've added a link to a help article on how to choose the correct adapter, as well as a link to our page with each of our adapters on it.
