Cargo Carrier Recommendation for 2013 Honda Pilot
Question:
I have a 2013 Honda Pilot. Im looking at a 24 x 60 etrailer Cargo Carrier e98874, and want to make sure it will fit my SUV. Can you confirm? Can you also tell me which hitch pin and clip I need to purchase with it? Finally, what tie downs do you recommend?

Yes, we had an opportunity to test fit the 24" x 60" Folding Cargo Carrier, # e98874 on a 2013 Honda Pilot and I can confirm that it is a fit. There is approximately 18.5" of clearance from the lowest part of the carrier to the ground when the carrier is installed. When the carrier is folded up, there is 2" between the rear of the vehicle and the carrier. When the carrier is folded down, the rear door can be opened for access to the cargo area. I've attached a review video for your.
You can use a standard Class III pin and clip, # PC3, but I recommend the Hitch Lock, # e99047 because it doubles as an anti-rattle device. This will keep your cargo carrier movement to a minimum and keep it safe when you stop overnight.
To secure your cargo, I recommend the Waterproof etrailer Cargo Bag, # 988501, which fits perfectly in the carrier and has integrated straps to secure the bag to the carrier. For loose cargo items, I recommend using the CargoBuckle Straps with S-Hooks, # IMF12637.
