Does Computer of 2016 Ram 1500 Have to Be Reprogrammed to Install Brake Controller

I have a 2016 ram 1500, does the trucks computer have to be reprogrammed after the brake controller is installed?

If you use the custom install harness part # 3024-P to install a controller like the Prodigy P3 part # 90195 you would not need to reprogram the vehicle computer at all.
I attached an install video that shows this controller and harness installed in a 2016 Ram 1500 just like yours.
