Can Monitor For Rear View Safety Wireless Hitch Camera be Left in Truck During Summer Months
Question:
So I read on the instructions to keep away/out of heat. I want to keep this in my truck, does this mean I can not keep it in there during the summer with the heat that can build up in the vehicle?

I spoke with my contact at Rear View Safety regarding the Wireless Hitch Camera # RVS-83112 referenced in your question. She stated that leaving the monitor inside your truck during the summer months is no problem at all. The monitor can absolutely withstand any type of heat that will build-up inside the cab.
This is a really nice system that will attach to the rear of your truck and features wireless connectivity with an uninterrupted connection for distances up to 70 feet. The 3.5 inch color monitor plugs directly into the vehicle cigarette lighter.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this product along with the written installation details that you can also check out.
