NEED TO REPLACE MY HARDWARE FOR MY MOUNTAINEER ROOF RACK... THE REPLACEMENT PART LISTED IS THE ...QM3... ARE THERE ANY OTHER OPTIONS ? THESE ARE A PAIN TO INSTALL. i HAVE A NEWER THULE RR AND IT COMES WITH A CLAW LIKE DEVICE! EASY !!!

For older Mountaineer boxes, the correct replacement hardware is # TH04997. I recommend sticking with the correct replacement hardware for your specific box because to use a different style, you would have to make modifications to the box and that can compromise the structural integrity of the box.
