Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2016 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
Need a Blue Ox baseplate and wiring harness for my 2016 Jeep Wrangler....you have the BX1126 plate, but do not seem to carry the Blue Ox harness? Do you have one, or can you get one? Thanks.

The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1126 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2016 Jeep Wrangler as long as it has the standard factory bumpers (no winches or guards). This is a durable base plate kit that features hidden reinforcements and removable bracket arms for a clean, unobtrusive look when your car is not being towed.
For a tail light wiring kit, I recommend the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Kit # HM56200. This is very similar to the Blue Ox harness you mentioned, as this custom, plug-in harness will wire your vehicle to get the signal lights required for flat towing. You will not need to splice into your Jeep wiring with this harness. I have attached an installation video on your Jeep Wrangler that you can use for reference. We do not currently have a Blue Ox Wiring Kit available for your vehicle.
Along with the base plates and lighting solution, you will need a tow bar, safety cables and supplemental braking system to complete your flat towing setup.
For a tow bar, I recommend the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380. This is a very nice tow bar that is compatible with the above mentioned base plate and also includes the necessary safety cables. It has a weight capacity of 6,500 pounds.
Then for a supplemental braking system, I really like the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System # BLU37TR. This is a great system that will physically apply the brakes in your Jeep at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in your RV. You will just need to add the # RM-88400 relay, which is needed to prevent the Jeep's brake signal from overriding the turn signal.
Lastly, you will likely need a high-low adapter to keep your tow bar level. I have attached an article that explains how to choose the correct one for your setup along with a link that will take you to our available selection. I have included an article on flat towing that you might also find helpful.
