Comparing Reese and Curt Friction Sway Control Bars
Question:
Im deciding between the Reese and the Curt options that you offer. They appear to function identically and the cost difference is negligible. Of the two, would you recommend one over the other based on performance, reliability, return issues, customer feedback etc.? Also, what is the country of manufacture for both items? Thank you!

Expert Reply:
A friction sway control bar such as # 83660 or # 17200 are very basic items and all of the brands function in the same way. Both are made in China. The Reese model # 83660 is purchased more often and we have not had any major complaints. These items are no simple there isn't a lot that can go wrong so either one would be good. If it were me I would go ahead and use the Reese model.
