Replacement Brake Assemblies for Dexter 3,500 lb Axle
Question:
brakes for Dexter 3,500 lbs axel, drums 10inch pads a are 2.25 wide looking to replace magnets but it seems that a whole brake kit might be more cost effective? looking for advice...

You are absolutely correct that it makes more sense to go with all new assemblies over magnets for cost reasons, because everything is new, and it's easier to install.
For a 3,500 lb Dexter axle the best bang for your buck is the part # AKEBRK-35-SA which comes with new assemblies for both sides of the axle that are self-adjusting. These will fit as a replacement and work well.
