Recommended Rubber Tire Chain Adjusters for a P225/60/R16 Tire
Question:
Hi. I am planning on purchasing the Titan Snow Tire Chains - 1 Pair Item # TC1138 for my 2001 Grand Marquis. I have read some reviews about the 16-19inch tensioner being too small for this product. Please advise to which tensioner I should purchase with the snow chains. Thanks for the help.

If you are referring to the Glacier Rubber Adjusters part # PW99 and you have the typical wheel size of P225/60/R16, then these rubber adjusters will not work for you as they are designed to fit wheels 16-1/2"-19" in diameter and will be too big. Instead, I recommend using the Glacier Multi-Arm Rubber Adjusters part # PW105 as these are designed to fit wheels 15-18" in diameter which will be a better fit for you. They will not be too small for the factory tire size. The rubber adjusters should be tight when trying to install but not impossible to get on.
They will work well with your 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis as long as you have the Titan Snow Tire Chains part # TC1138 installed on a P225/60/R16 tire. If you have a different size tire please let me know the size and I would be glad to confirm the fit. You will want to check with your owner's manual for proper procedures when using snow chains. I have attached a screenshot on the snow chain section of your owners manual for you.
