Torque and Wrench Size Needed for Balls of etrailer Ball Mount Kit 989900
Question:
I am looking to purchase this set to use with my CURT 13119 Class 3 Trailer Hitch, but nowhere is it stated in this listing what torque is required for the nut on the ball when attaching it to the ball mount. I believe it is 250 ft-lbs looking at the ball-only page, but would like that confirmed prior to buying a torque wrench. Also, can you confirm the sizes needed for the wrenches when installing the balls. It looks like the nut is 1.5inch in diameter and that the cutout on the ball itself is 1.75inch for the backing wrench, but I again want to confirm before buying tools. Thanks for the help!

The Tow Ready 2 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 63845, of the ball mount kit part # 989900 you have referenced needs to be torqued to 250 foot pounds.
The size of socket or wrench needed to tighten that would be a 1-1/2 inch and then for the diameter of the crowsfoot or wrench for holding the ball it would need to be 1-3/4 inch.
