Adding Tie-Down Points to Secure a Boat on a Ford Ranger with a Tonneau Cover  

Question:

hi i have a 2010 ford ranger with a back flip g2 tonneau cover. I am trying to secure a topper boat using a t bar and my back-rack but feel like Im running our of securement points at the middle and rear of the bed of my truck. do you have any ideas to help me secure my boat better like a clamp on or installing something on the top of my bumper or on the top of my bed caps?? already have bully dog stake pocket pull ups im using for securing the tbar. cheers

You may be able to use the Extang CargoCleats Tie Downs # EX1932 but I'm not sure they'll work with your tonneau cover. If your tonneau are attached at the side rails, they probably will not.

Another option, that isn't really ideal, is to drill into the truck and install some D-rings like # SR10-C.
