Why Does Manual Override Lever of Brake Not Go All the Way to Max Voltage and Instead Max Setting
Question:
On other brake boxes Ive had in the past the manual lever would engage the brakes at a 100 no matter what they were set at. I got use to this and just thought all controllers were the same way. This is a nice feature to be able to do this if someone pulls out in front of you or if you need a little extra brake on a random stop. I got use to this and was pretty quick at using the manual over ride if I needed it. So what I am asking is, is there a way to set this unit up to where it will it will engage at a if needed just on the manual over ride with out changing the normal foot brake operating settings?

Ideally you set the max braking pressure for your controller to just right before where the brakes would lock up as that is the best stopping setting you can use. If you go further than that to the point where the brakes lock up you actually won't be stopping as quick and you might lose control of the trailer.
That is why it's best to have the max brake pressure setting for your controller as right before lock up and not just max voltage.
