Do you have to remove the 4 rivets in the original roof bracket or do you take the long pin out of the hinge

In order to remove your old roof vent and use the Replacement Lid for Jensen RV Roof Vent w/ Pin-Style Hinge - Polypropylene - Smoke # CAM40147, you would need to remove the screws from your old vent first before removing the long pin from your vent.
