Recommended Axle for a Trailer and Cargo Weighing 800 lbs

Question:

Hello, We are fabricating a cart and need an axle system. Only needs to support 800lbs. Looking for around $250.00. Do you have a product that meets these goals? Thanks,

To determine if an axle will fit your trailer you will first need to the (A) hub-face-to-hub-face measurement and the (B) spring-center-to-spring-center measurement (see attached picture).

Since this is the standard measurement for axles it will help you determine what axle you will need from our selection of axles that use the standard leaf spring suspension which has been linked for you to filter through.

A great alternative option that takes a lot of the guesswork and calculating out of installing an axle is to go with a Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension system. These are much easier to install and can actually improve the ground clearance. They are a little more pricey but they do also eliminate the need for leaf springs, hangers, and all of the little pieces that go along with them.

If the total weight of the trailer and cargo weighs about 800 lbs then the part # A12WS545 is an excellent option as it is rated for up to 1,200lbs. It comes with hubs already installed that have the common 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern.

I have attached an installation video for you to see how easy this system is to install.
