Merits of Replacing Drum Brakes vs. Rebuilding Drum Brakes
Question:
Im trying to find replacement shoes for these assemblies. Both sides 4-sets. Or is it more the norm to replace the entire assemblies? B12E-21 AXLETEK-12-GG CSA CAN3 D313 M85

We do offer all kinds of replacement brake parts for both electric and hydraulic drum brakes, including shoes, springs, actuating levers, etc. But many folks do determine, after reviewing all the parts needed and their total cost, that the time savings of simply replacing the entire brake assembly often makes that option preferable overall. Sometimes it does not even cost much more than replacing just the worn parts.
Apart from cost and time to do the servicing there is also the benefit of peace of mind. Sure, you might replace your worn brake shoes without any trouble at all, but in 3 months down the road a spring might break, and you're right back into the garage with the wheel and hub pulled. A complete new brake assembly gives you the peace of mind of knowing that every single component part of the brake is new and in good shape. Something to consider.
I have linked for you our main page for replacement parts for electric drum brakes, including brake shoes, magnets, hardware, etc.
I also linked complete electric drum brakes. Just click on your axle weight rating to see suitable brake kits. If you have for example 3500-lb axles, your brakes will be 10 x 2-1/4-inch like our left/right brake pair # AKEBRK-35-SA.
You might actually do both things: you can install new brake assemblies now for putting the trailer into roadworthy shape without a lot of hassle, and save the old ones to re-build them over the winter when there is time for such projects.
