Question:
Must the tow vehicle be hitched to the trailer in order for the Prodigy unit to be connected? Im getting an n.c alert on the hand-held unit.

The Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional # TK94FR must be connected to the 7 way of your tow vehicle for power in order for the brake controller to connect with the remote. The N.C. on your remote means it is sensing " No Connection" with the trailer. You will need to connect the trailer wiring for the unit to sync with the remote and it may need to even move for the inertia sensor to recognize movement and the need to sync.
I've attached a couple videos to assist and have also attached the installation detail instructions for you.
