Replacement Head for Weight Distribution System

Question:

thanks for the response, so, does that mean any round spring bar style hitch head will work for me? I want to replace the hitch head because on of the bars keeps falling and the holes appear to be worn and oval rather than round. Here are some pictures of the hitch, the bars are approximately 1-3/8" diameter.

There are many replacement heads available. I've attached a couple links to assist you with the options we currently have available. One is for square bars, one for round bars, and one for trunnion bars.

If you can't narrow it down based on look, send me a picture with as many markings as you can and I'll see what I can do to help. There aren't bushings on most weight distribution systems, so I need more clarity to help.

Can you tell me if this head will work with the E2 weight distribution system, 10K capacity? I am attaching to a 2" hitch and have a 2 5/16" main ball.

For your Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System you will need to go with a direct e2 replacement. The Pro Series head will now work. If you have the 10K round bar setup, the part # FA94-02-1055 will work perfectly.

Thank you, @ChrisR. That is what I have now with round bars, but I am trying to add additional anti-sway friction bars and wanted a new head instead of welding tabs onto my E2. I was hoping the Pro-series would work, but I will just add the tabs. Appreciate your time and attention!

@GaryH No problem at all. If you're having a lot of sway issues still with the Fastway system in place, I would first make sure everything is adjusted properly. A little more head tilt might make a big difference.

Thanks for the pictures and description. The hitch head is a Valley brand, but I recommend you upgrade to the Replacement Weight Distribution Bolt-Together Round Bar Head # PS58442 which will work with your bars.
