Weight of the Rack Rated for Use at Rear of RV

Question:

Not the capacity but the weight of the entire rack? I do not see it in the specs. I am attaching it to my Aliner 2010 Sport trailer. Previously used a Thule hanging rack.

The weight of the Swagman XC # S64650 is 29 lbs but it CANNOT be used at the rear of an RV. Instead you would want the Swagman Dispatch part # S44FR which is similar and rated for RV use. This rack weighs 54 lbs.

At the rear of a trailer or RV the ride quality is very rough when compared to the ride quality at the rear of a passenger vehicle. Reason being the suspension isn't as sophisticated and there is a longer distance between the rear axle and the rear of the trailer which exaggerates the movement of the trailer when hitting bumps. Because of that only a few bike racks were designed to be reinforced enough for that type of use.
