Can the Prodigy P3 Brake Controller be Mounted in Place of Tekonsha PowerTrac Brake Controller
Question:
I have the Tekonsha 80500 Pod currently. Will the P3 use the same mount and wiring harness? I plan to mount it and leave it permanently.

The wiring between the Tekonsha Prodigy P3, # 90195, and the PowerTrac Brake Controllers, # 39523, will be the same. WHITE to ground, RED to stoplight switch, BLACK to 12 volt power, and BLUE to electric trailer brake circuit. The wiring harness that is included with the P3 will include electrical butt connecters to help make the connection between your vehicle and controller.
The brakes between the two brake controllers look similar, so installing to the dash will not be an issue on the P3.
Also, there may be a custom plug in wiring harness available for the P3 controller. If you can provide us with the year, make, and model of the vehicle you are planning to install the brake controller in we can try to see if a custom harness is available.
