Fit Dial Setting for a Thule Archway 3 Bike Rack on a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser
Question:
I just bought a used Archway 3 bike rack. I havent been able to verify the correct Fitdial setting for a 2006 PT Cruiser with its fairly flat hatch. I can probably guess, but it would be wonderful for someone to tell me.

The FitDial setting for a Thule Archway 3, part # TH910XT is 10 on both sides.
Additionally, Thule adds the following tips for attaching this rack to your 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser:
- Place your top clips in the gap at the front edge of the top of the hatch.
- Place lower clips in the bottom edge of the hatch
- Don't use your rear wiper blades while the rack is installed.
- Lower arm of carrier should sit on the upper tier of the bumper
- Remove the rack when its not in use to preserve your vehicle's weather striping.
I've included a link below to the instructions for this rack and a video of it being installed on a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country that has a similar rear hatch and fit recommendations for this rack.
If you haven't gotten one yet, now may be the time to add a Passive Security Strap, part # TH533, which will secure the rack to the vehicle. Adding a 10' cable lock, part # e98891 will do the same for the bikes attached to the rack.
Finally, if you're planning on carrying women's, childrens, step-through or aggressive (BMX/Mountain) bikes, you will want to add a Swagman Frame Adapter Bar, part # 64005 which will let them ride parallel to the ground, minimizing the risk of damage to the bike that it would have riding at an angle along its own frame.
