hello I just perched a 2017 ford 350 supper duty 8 ft bed I have a draw tite fifth wheel hitch this looks like what I need to make the switch

We can help you with a new 5th wheel install kit for your existing Draw-Tite hitch that will let you mount it in your 2017 Ford F-350 4WD long bed without the factory rail kit.

The part you referenced, Reese Elite Adapter # RP30156, is only required for trucks that DO have the factory-installed pucks in the truck bed. The adapter provides the equivalent of standard above-bed rails and accepts all brands of 5th wheel hitch. If you have the 4 pucks in the bed then you do need this part, but if not you can use a regular above-bed base rail kit.

You can use the linked page to select your truck's configuration. Just click on your set-up, such as the 4WD 8-foot bed without the factory rail kit, and you'll then see suitable base rail kits. If you have this set-up you can use Reese Custom-Fit base rail kit # RP56017-53. This kits reduces your drilling requirements and your overall install time. For a wiring harness for the truck bed you can use part # 50-97-410 which offers easy plug-in installation.
