Is Thule Hullavator Kayak Carrier Compatible with Yakima Jetstream Crossbars

Ram 1500 crew cab I like the Thule Hullavator but Thule crossbars are only 60 inches long Yakima has up to 70...80 inches.

The Thule Hullavator Lift-Assisted Pro Kayak Carrier # TH898 will fit on the majority of roof rack crossbar shapes, including Thule's own square bars, WingBar Evo aero bars like # TH711420, as well as the Yakima JetStream bars like # Y00427. It also fits most factory bars.

The Hullavator is a unique kayak carrier that helps those of us that can't or simply don't want to lift their kayak up to a pickup truck's roof level. (We're 'yakkers, and we know how much fun that isn't).

No matter which bar shape you use the length of the bars has to be such that you have no less than 4 full inches of bar extending out past the rack foot assembly. Please refer to the linked photo.
This bar space is essential for mounting the Hullavator and for ensuring it does not contact the side of the truck when it is lowered to the loading position.

The various roof racks offered for your 2015 Ram 1500 are shown on the linked page. Depending on which cab you have the recommended crossbars lengths can vary from as short as 51-inches up to 79-inches or even more. Yakima's Jetstream bars are offered in several lengths, including the 70-inch # Y00427

If you have the crew cab then you can use the black 70-inch Jetstream rack made of parts # Y00427, # Y28TR and # Y06135.
