Recommended Weld-On Steel Spring Latch
Question:
Do you sell a spring latch with a steel base that is equivalent to part number SL716SS? We used these for some containers, but the rivets are failing so we want to replace these with steel based latches that we can weld on. Thank you

Expert Reply:
The spring latch we have that is similar to # SL716SS is weld-on is the Weld-On Zinc Spring Latch # SL58W. The weld on surface is 2 inches long by 1-1/4 inches wide and the zinc coated pin extends 3/4 inch past the bracket. This is really the only spring latch we carry that isn't zinc plated or stainless steel. These should work well for your containers.
