In order to tighten the nut on Draw-Tite Hitch Ball # 63840 you can use a a 1-7/8 inch wrench or socket like the Powerbuilt ALL643216. This ball is 2-5/16" in diameter with a shank that measures 2-3/4" long and 1-1/4" in diameter. It will fit ball mount platforms that are 3/8" to 1" thick.
