Recommended Replacement Tires and Wheels for 20.5x8.0-10 Tires on Snowmobile Trailer

Question:

I need to replace the tires and rims on my snowmobile trailer. The existing tires are 20.5x8.0-10 with a load rating of E. The rims are 5 on 4 1/2. Is the Kenda 215/60-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8inch White Wheel - 5 on 4 1/2 - Load range C the correct replacement wheel and tire?

Based on my research, the 20.5x8.0-10 tire size equates to the current size listing of 205/65-10. With this in mind, I recommend looking at the Kenda 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire with 10 Inch White Wheel # AM3H480. This bias ply tire is mounted to a white wheel that features a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. This is a Load Range E tire that has a maximum load of 1,650 pounds at 90 psi. You will just need to make sure that the combined load capacity of the tires matches or exceeds the trailer's loaded weight. It also includes a 2-year limited warranty on the tire and a 1-year warranty on the wheel.

I have attached a short video demonstration on this tire and wheel combo that you can check out.

The Kenda 215/60-8 tire that you mentioned will be significantly smaller than your existing set (with a smaller diameter by over 2 inches) and will also mount onto a smaller wheel. I do not recommend going with this size as a replacement.
