Lock Recommendation to Secure Bikes to Hollywood Racks Trail Rider Bike Rack

Question:

Hi, I bought this rack from you back in the spring, like it, and am going to use it to haul two very pricey bikes. Do you have any suggestions for locking the bikes to the rack or hitch other than the cable I also purchased with the rack? Cables are so easily cut as you know. I am thinking of U-locks on each bike one lock, if I can get one with a long enough shackle and then running a hefty hardened chain from the locks to the ring on my hitch receiver. Kind of a fiddly solution, but maybe you have a better idea based on your experience? Thanks in advance.

We have the Club Compact Utility Lock - Chromoly Steel Item # WIUTL801. It has an adjustable inside length: 5-1/2" to 7-1/2". The lock set you purchased, # HRLHPTC, has the cable lock that is constructed of braided steel. Braided steel is very difficult to cut through so it is still a solid option. Usually what happens is a would be thief will move on to an easier target if they even see a lock. So basically locks, no matter what kind, have that additional layer of protection.

Either of these would be great options on the older version of the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider that doesn't include locks in the ratcheting arms like the new version, part # HR200Z, does.
