can you tell me the exact horizontal distance from the back end of the upper receiver to the back end of the lower receiver?

I went out to the warehouse to take a look at the Curt Dual 2 Inch Receiver Tube Adapter # D-192 referenced in your question.
I measured a distance of right at 7 inches from the back of the top receiver to the back of the bottom shank. There is a distance of 5 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back end of the top receiver.
I have attached an image with these dimensions labeled that you can also check out.
