Recommended Solution for Transporting Motorcycle With 2003 Holiday Rambler
Question:
Trying to find a hitch for my 2003 Holiday Rambler. I have a motorcycle carrier that weighs 275 LBS and the bike weighs 495 LBS. This is coming right out of the receiver. I was told a Class IV or V would have the TW capacity to support it ?? Thank you

On your 2003 Holiday Rambler, the strongest tongue weight hitch we have available is the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver - 18"-51" Wide - 2" Drop - Class III - 2" # C13701. It is rated for 500 lbs tongue weight and up to 600 lbs with a Weight Distribution System. With that large a bike, you will need to use a trailer as even coming right out of the hitch there is not a compatible hitch for your 770 lb tongue weight. Some large trucks have custom fit Class IV or Class V hitches that may be able to handle that weight, but unfortunately the chassis of your motorhome is not built to handle it.
I recommend using this RV hitch and then using the Detail K2 Mighty Multi A-Frame Utility Trailer - 7-1/2' Long - 1,640 lbs # K2MMT5X7 for your motorcycle.
