Do Electric Trailer Brake Kit AKEBRK-35-SA Need Initial Adjustment
Question:
I just installed etrailer brakes on my utility trailer, do I need to do an initial adjustment? Because both tires turn but one has a little more resistance than the other.

Helpful Expert Reply:
Self adjusting brakes do not need initial manual adjustment. Best option is to take the trailer to an empty parking lot and while rolling slowly apply the manual override lever of your brakes several times. You should feel the brakes get tighter and tighter with each application but it may also take several applications.
Once you do this enough times the brake will adjust themselves where they need to be.
