Saris Platform Rack That Can Be Tilted Away So Rear Hatch Can Open

Question:

I saw a Saris hitch mount bike rack on a Toyota Highlander while driving down the highway and Im interested in finding out if you carry this particular model. I couldnt get the model number but I liked the fact that, while no bikes were on it, it folded out of the way so the rear Highlander door could be opened. Im interested in this Saris rack and any other hitch mounted platform style where the rack does not have to be removed when not it use allowing you to access the back without obstruction. Can you help? Thank you!

I've started with including a link to all of our Tilt-Away models. That's the feature that allows you to tilt away and access the back hatch, even when there are bikes loaded.

The second link is to all of Saris' tilt-away bike racks, and hopefully that will help you find the specific one you're looking for.

Out of the Saris, I recommend the Saris Superclamp EX, part # SA4025F. This is an incredibly versatile rack that mounts to the wheel of the bike, rather than the frame, and is appropriate for a lot of different styles of bikes, especially those with a step through or aggressive frame (BMX or Mountain). It also includes an integrated bike and hitch lock, adding extra security to the bike.

This is rated to be used with Class II or III hitches, and has an adjustable 1-1/4 to 2 inch shank to be used with either hitch option.

I've included a video of this rack in action for you to see as well.
