Hub Cover for Two Lug Sizes on the Same Wheel

Question:

I have a 98 Carriage 5th wheel trailer. Part # PXQT865CHN is the closest fit I can find. The wheel is 8 lug, 6 1/2 inch lug spread, but the problem is, on each wheel there are two different size lugs for some reason. One 15/16 inch then one 7/8 inch lug. So you have four of each size on each wheel. I really don't understand why it was set up this way. The studs appear to be the same size, it is just the nuts that are different size. They don't even look the same. All the wheels are like that so I assume there must be a reason. I cant find a cover to fit 15/16, so my thought was to buy this 7/8 inch cap and grind out every other opening so they will fit over the larger lug nuts and just hope the four lugs that fit into the 7/8 inch will hold the cap on. Any thoughts on this? Thanks

The Phoenix USA QuickTrim Hub Cover # PXQT865CHN snaps over all eight lug nuts, so I can't guarantee this cover can be held on by four correctly sized lug nuts and four modified lug nuts. If you want a cap that you know will fit, you'll need to have each lug nut be the same size. I've added a link to our page with each of our lug nuts for you to take a look at.
